When the whistle goes, whoever holds the most tokens wins the match. Holding the crown is easy. Keeping it is the game.
The fleet
No propeller at all: a turbine drives the water jet.
The arsenal
Twice the push, on the water or in the air.
Push everyone near you away.
Three in your wake. A hull's touch sets them off.
Left is right. Right is left. Good luck.
Three shots that find a boat.
It locks on and leads its target.
Nothing reaches you for six seconds, and it cures a reverse.
A cage on the water. At eight seconds it strikes everyone inside.
Modes
Four captains. Every one of them for themselves.
Two against two. Cover your partner, or don't.
You and one rival. Nowhere to hide.
Missiles, triple shots and a shield. Nothing else on the water.
Beat Flight
On the song's drums, Beat Missiles come at you head on, from wherever your nose points. Turn, and the next ones come from somewhere new.
Your wing rockets never run out, and every bass drop stacks three more on top. Shoot the missiles down. Nitro and Jump are always yours.
A missile shot down while you race, turn, roll or wait for the last moment is worth up to twice one shot from a boat at rest. The song ends; beat your best.
Make it yours
In the Boathouse every boat takes your paint, your finish, your decals and your accessories, down to the colour of the flame behind it.
The harbour
News from the water, straight from the game, and a place to answer back.
Here is how a match goes. Four minutes, up to four captains on open water: people first, bots in the empty seats. Pop a balloon and you are holding a weapon: a homing missile, a sea mine, artillery, a shield. Hit somebody and their tokens scatter on the water for anyone to grab. Whoever holds the most wears the crown, and everybody can see who that is, which is the whole problem with wearing it. Beware if you're the king. ♛
